Celebrating the Event Industry's 2025 Women to Watch

Writer: Courtney StanleyCourtney Stanley

There’s nothing more powerful than watching someone radiate in their own light, confidently stepping into the greatness they were always meant to embody.

Three years ago, I made the decision to launch the Women to Watch Awards as a way to shine a spotlight on the remarkable women transforming the event industry for International Women’s Day. I believe visibility is a career game-changer, and what better way to celebrate these incredible leaders than by honoring the impact they’re making on their communities and the world?

The stories shared below are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Reading through the heartfelt words from men and women around the globe—nominating their colleagues, mentors, mentees, and peers—has been a true privilege. The admiration and gratitude for the women you’ll read about here is a testament to the deep respect they’ve earned. These leaders embody resilience, creativity, strength, kindness, authenticity, and more. They are the women who make the meetings, hospitality and tourism industries better.

Let’s take a moment to celebrate and honor the women nominated for this year’s Women to Watch Awards. To the awardees—your impact is a gift to us all!

One word that describes her: Trailblazer

Her runway song: Alien Superstar by Beyoncé

For more than 15 years, YaYa has infused every project she’s worked on with a touch of magic. Her path has brought her to the core of iconic cultural events like the Essence Festival and behind immersive art installations that have pushed the limits of creativity.

But it’s her commitment to lifting others that truly sets her apart. YaYa empowers creative entrepreneurs to bridge the gap between passion and profit, helping them navigate the business world while staying true to their artistic vision.

No matter if she’s producing events, coaching clients, delivering keynotes or hosting workshops, YaYa fosters spaces where connection, celebration, and joy are at the forefront. A true innovator, YaYa is shaping the next generation of creative leaders with purpose and passion.
